Attorney Arias has been a licensed attorney for over 30 years. He started his legal career as a prosecutor and later entered the private practice of law.

Judge H. Kevin Mart was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and has over 29 years of immigration law experience. Judge Mart retired from the federal government in July 2024 and has returned to private practice with Arias & Mart, LLC. Judge Mart was appointed as an immigration judge in October 2010 and worked at the Miami immigration court from October 2010 through November 2015. In November 2015 Judge Mart was appointed as an Assistant Chief Immigration Judge (ACI) by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Judge Mart has overseen either as ACIJ or Acting ACIJ the Orlando, San Juan, Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans, Stewart, LaSalle, Oakdale, Varick, Broadway, Hyattsville and Baltimore immigration courts. In 2022 Judge Mart received an EOIR Director's Award for his work with the Pro Bono Steering Committee.
Prior to being appointed as an immigration judge, Judge Mart worked in private practice as an immigration attorney for fifteen years from 1995 to 2010 in Miami, Florida and Orlando, Florida focusing on removal and deportation defense and all forms of relief including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers and immigration appeals providing aggressive advocacy on behalf of his clients.
Judge Mart also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Virgin Islands and previously worked in litigation with Dinsmore in Cincinnati and in New York City with the law firms of Fried Frank and Brown & Wood. Judge Mart received his J.D. degree from Georgetown Law Center where he was an editor for the American Criminal Law Review. He received his B.A.in political science from the University of Dayton. Judge Mart is a member of the New York, California, Ohio and Virgin Islands bars
